Was There Another Race on Earth before Adam and Eve? Are the Demons from This Pre-Adamic Race?

Interview with Mihran Kulhanjian

Was There Another Race on Earth before Adam and Eve?  Are the Demons from This Pre-Adamic Race?

Mihran:  Yes, when we fill in the gaps what we believe happened between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 we get an idea that there was another race before Adam and Eve.   The Bible does not say there was a prior race before Adam.  But if we put a few things together we can see clearly that there was life before the Garden of Eden.  It appears this is true. There is a missing period between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. But where did the demons come from? Since they are not the fallen angels of Satan?  Geophysics calculate the earth as millions of years old, and the fossil record seems to prove this through numerous scientific dating techniques. As you may know, there is no "missing link." God created a species called the human race; but I also believe that there was a race on the earth prior to the current human race which God destroyed because of there disobedience.

Looking in Genesis 1:1-4

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

In verse 2 "the earth was without form, and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep." God does not create anything that lacks. He is a God of perfection and abundance. When the verse says "without form and void," we have to ask ourselves:  Was the world created without form and was void or did evil come into the world causing now through God's wrath upon evil to cause it to be a world that lack perfection?

"Darkness was upon the face of the earth."  What or who is darkness?  Darkness in the evil one, Satan himself.

Now we go to the Gospel of John 1:1-5:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Jesus was with God in the beginning. Jesus created the world. We know that "In him was life; and the life was the light of men."  Jesus is light. Jesus also represents righteousness, purity and holiness.  The "darkness" [Satan] cannot comprehend the light [Jesus].

"God created the heaven(s) and the earth."  He created the heaven and the earth in the beginning. In verse 1:2 Genesis, "darkness was on the face of the earth." In John 1:5, darkness could not comprehend the light. Satan was over the earth at this time and God seeing the evil destroyed the earth of the evil in it, making it "without form and void."  It appears that many, many years the world was left without form and in darkness. Only until God decided to create man [Adam], He created a new, abundant earth, a perfect earth created for Adam and his wife, Eve.

In Genesis 1:28, Adam and Eve were instructed by God to "replenish [fill] the earth."  Does this mean the earth was depleted and had to be refilled?  Could the earth have been unfilled because water from a flood had before covered it to kill the evil in it? Was God starting over again with the earth and a new race in Adam?  This could very well be the case. And I believe this to be true. However, there is no word "plenish."  It is not a word. So what is God saying when it says "replenish the earth?"  Does the word "replenish mean to fill not to restore or refill?  So I believe because of the existence of demons and the fossil record that there was indeed a pre-Adamic race; but Genesis 1:28 cannot be used to confirm this because the word replenish is used equally as "fill" as it is to "restore."  Is this correct?  Let's add another verse to clarify this point.

In Genesis 9:1  God tell Noah after the flood:

And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
Read closely. God uses the same words in Genesis 1:28 with Adam and Eve and in Genesis 9:1 with Noah and his sons:  'He said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth."  I believe this indicates a prior life on earth before Adam.  Because of disobedience, God's judgment came down and destroyed the prior race with a flood; thus making the earth now without form, void and in darkness. The darkness [evil one] was on the face of the earth.

Speculation or not:   So what happened to the earth?   God destroyed the race (where demons are from) and the earth because of their rampant sinfulness. God had given them free will as He did with Adam and Eve and free will as angels and every person of the human race has. The pre-Adamic race sinned and they were evil, so  God destroyed them.  The Bible does not tell us of the origin of demons, but we do know that they are not angels, because the angels do not crave a body to operate from and the angels are bound whereas demons are free to roam.
