Our Statement of Faith

What We Believe

  • We believe in one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-7; 1 Corinthians 8:4) that He exists in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, John 10:30; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6)
  • We believe that the Holy Bible, the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament (66 books) are the inspired words of God. The Bible is authoritative and infallible. (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; John 3:16)
  • We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. He is Lord. He is the Messiah and the Redeemer of the world, the Savior. He defeated death, and rose on the third day ascending to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God. He was born of a virgin birth. He lived a sinless life and was brought into the world as a man so that we might know Him and be saved from death (eternal damnation in Hell). (John 3:16). We believe in His miracles and His every word as truth.  He died and shed His blood on the cross at atonement for the sins of man.  And He will return again in all glory. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4, 1:29; Acts 1:11, 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4, 4:15.)
  • We believe that grace is a gift from God and faith in Him and his word will deliver us to His kingdom. For saving faith, the Bible commands us to repent (turn) from sin (Matthew 3:1-2; Matthew 4:17; Mark 1:14-15; Mark 6:12; Luke 24:46-47; Acts 2:38; Acts 26:19-20) and that true belief is followed by good works because of regeneration (a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit [being born again]) (John 3:3-7), leaving your sinful life, forsaking sin and becoming a new creature in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit, upon your belief is sealed in you. (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30) Good works will not get you into the kingdom of Heaven, but your faith will (Ephesians 2:8-10). Good works will follow regeneration because you have a change of mind, a change of heart, a change of attitude, conduct and character.  You are a new creature in Christ. People who do not repent of their sins and continue in lawlessness and disobedience to God, yet professing to be followers of Christ, are false converts, and will not see the kingdom of God until they repent  (Matthew 7:22-23) (Revelations 3:15-16) and continue in life with a pure heart.  God gave us free will to choose sin or choose Him.  Be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48)  We are perfect in Jesus Christ and must strive to be perfect as commanded.
  • We believe in justification by faith.
  • We believe in Biblical marriage and only the union of one genetic male and one genetic female constitute marriage. (Genesis 2:24;  Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27)  Premarital sex is a sin and homosexuality is a sin and an abomination to God. (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 1 Timothy 1:10)

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral [fornicators], nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified* in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. (Romans 1:26-27)

*You are made right with God when you repent of these sins (all sin) and are born again: You are washed, sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • We believe the church is composed of all true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ; they are members of his body. (1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23)
  • We believe in the sanctity of human life and that abortion is murder. (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10) Life begins at conception
  • We believe all are called for the repentance of sin. All have sinned. And we believe in the Great Commission, that all Christians are called to preach the “Good News” to everyone everywhere, as commanded by Jesus Christ.
